The first in a set of two, this is an original 36”x48” encaustic painting with mixed media on cradled birch. Inspired by Matthew 16:13-19.

A note from Amy- “My “Scripted” series is usually taken from Psalms, sometimes they are songs clients request for commissions, but I had two passages I knew I wanted to carve into the surface of this wax. Matthew 16:13-19 scripted into the surface of one, and Deuteronomy 6:5-12 into the other. I have no feeling left in m finger tips from working these pieces, but totally worth it. One a remembrance of Jesus’ proclamation and promise, the other a call to action.”
